I don't know if this is the right place to post this thread, but here goes. I would like to know what microphone to get for my computer? I want a good one and no junk. All help will be greatly appreciated as I am not too computer literate, but I am slowly learning more all the time. HARVE Unit199 CEF210 KBOYVK |

Hi Harve, I use the one Walmart sells for just under $10.00. Comes with a desk stand and a small stick on mount so you can put it where ever you would like. Both Lon and Hal say it sounds good on Echo-Link. Carl Yankee CEF-357 KD5SDM |

You'll be plugging it into the sound card of your computer, so find out what kind of input your sound card requires and get one that matches it. I have a microphone that I bought for $0.99 and it works great. Almost all computer microphones have electret elements and they universally sound good. |

The only thing I can say that hasn't been said is get a headset that has soft cushioned ear pads, not the bare foam but the ones with soft film covering the foam like the one my wife got from radio shack for 20.00$,you can wear them for hours. The sound quality is governed by your sound card and drivers.Bigbob |

Thanks for your input guys, as it is greatly appreciated. I had my signicant half go to Rad-Shack and get the headset. Yes Bigbob, I got the ones that have soft cushioned ear pads so they would be easy on these old ears.HE!HE! HARVE Unit199 CEF210 KB0YVK |
