Today, November 11th, 2005 is the day to observe Veterans Day, and pay tribute to all of our galant and dedicated Service Men and Service Women from all of our wars.

The 1st Sargant and I and our family would sincerely like to thank all of those who have served and are currently serving on active duty and in the reserves and the families of those who have given and sacrificed so much on our behalf.

World War II veterans are passing away at the rate of about 1,200.00 per day now, and our Korean War Veterans are passing on at the rate of about 1,000 per day.

Many of us Viet Nam Veterans are now in our middle 50's and early to mid 60's.

If you have a family member or friend or neighbor who is a Veteran of any of our conflicts or is on Active Duty or in the Reserves, PLEASE take the time to pick up your telephone and call them or drop them an e-mail or stop by in person and express your grateful thanks to him or her for serving our great country.

Tomorrow may be to late!

Shirley and I ask you to PLEASE take a few moments out of your lives to Honor our Veterans while they are still Living.

We wish to Thank All Veterans Past and Present and the families of those who have given their lives and sacrificed so much for our country.

And we wish to send a
SPECIAL THANK YOU!
to all of the Veterans who are Copper Forum Members.

Here in SEMINOLE we have parade and untill a few years ago it got older and smaller but since 2003 the young are back. This country owes it's freedom to the men and women who fight and have fought to keep us free ..... Lets never forget them or give up on thoes who never came home.

Want to start off by saying thanks to all our inlisted personal on active duty.
I am the first of a three generation Air Force family, Nov. 2nd My son Keith started his 23rd year, and his son Keith Jr. is now in tech school in Maryland, also Air Force. My son Keith's wife is an Air Force veteran, her father is an Air Force retiree.
Keith's second son Christopher starts Army basic training February 27th and is going to be in the military police.
I had a brother who served with the Army in WWll. My twin sons Kevin and Kenneth served with the New York Army National Guard and after several years with the guard signed into the regular Army.
Myself, I was a Weapons Specialist and served with the Fifth Fighter Squadron at Suffolk County Air Force Base, West Hampton Long Island New York in the late 50s.
Again, I wish to take this time to thank all our military who have served or who are now proudly serving our great country. And may god bless our veterans who have given their lives for our country.

Proud to have served with the Air Force

i've posted this before, but here it is again-

my wife & kids were returning to LI from NYC with my parents after radio city christmas show in dec 2000, we boarded a nearly packed train in jamaica station and found 6 scattered seats. my father, always proud of his military service of course wearing his hat and jacket emblazoned with his unit and dates of service sat down across from a middle aged orthodox jewish gentleman. this gentleman extended his hand to my father and just said "thankyou". my father took his hand, smiled and asked 'what for?' the gentleman said he never took the oppurtunity to serve his country and had the utmost respect for anyone who did, and showed his appreciation to every veteran of every age that he ever came across, and no matter the circumstance or public opinion every person who is willing to defend this country deserves more than is afforded them so he would take matters into his own hands and thank them all.
and this was all BEFORE the sept 11th terrorist attacks and aftermath. my father is the reason i fly the AMERICAN flag everyday of the year, not just on special occasions. and til i heard that, i never realized why i did it.
there's nothing else to say, and to all those who know who they are-
THANKS for making sure i still can fly my AMERICAN flag

and today, as yesterday & every other day, my american flag flew high for all to see

I usually try not to bring attention to myself on this matter but I would like to say a BIG Thank You to everyone for being supportive of the US military. I do serve now and have for the past 7 years as my grandfather in WWII proudly, and as those have also served know it's not always easy but hey, someone has to do it, so again thank you from all of those who I serve alongside for the support.
