I just had a question come to mind. How were you introduced to this forum? Did someone tell you about it or did you find it by searching the net by keywords? thanks CEF524 knottyboy |

Needed info on hooking up radios and the local shop steered me wrong. Found this site and now they can't get rid of me. Been to others sites as well but this one indeed seems to be friendly, knowledgeable and very polite. Information needed, information given. Nope I'm not leaving even if I can't make a CEF Contact heheehe. Tim CEF-634 |

Well As I was born in Louisville and just lived about 2 miles from the place. Ever sence I was a kid I dreamed of being a Trucker, and we all know that tuckers and CB radio go together. Well I made my long life dream come true and became a trucker, with that in mind I needed a good CB for the truck. not knowing if Copper was around as a kid never thought of them then but was doing a search on where to get the kinda radio I wanted I came across Copper and the radio was at the lowest price I could fine, also I saved on the shipping then as the same time I was looking for a radio by older brother was coming down from Louisville so I had him go pick up the radio for me. Now everytime I go back to Louisville,Ky I always stop by Copper rather i buy something or not. So Not only is Copper a great place to buy CB/Ham alike ...but the forum here is just great and it's hard to find folks that will take there spare time to help others in this hobby. The other thing I guess is Copper being located in Louisville,Ky it's a bit of home to me. Till next time Starface CEF#476 Southeast Net Control Auburndale,FL

I was looking for an explanation why Astatic had stopped making desk microphones and an article on this forum came up in a google search. After reading the thread I looked around a little more and it seemed that there was a lot of information shared here, so I hung around. |

Sorry KB, but I guess your Memory is really fading as I did not even know who you were back on July 1, 2002 when you joined the Copper Forum. After dealing with the 1st Generation Owner of Copper I was doing an Internet search and found the Internet url for the Copper Web Site. I joined the Copper Forum back on June 2, 2002 and became a Copper Tech on August 7, 2002 after Tech307 called and interviewed me several times and recommended me to the Copper Forummaster to help on the Copper Forum as a Forum Tech/Moderator. The reason I joined the Copper Forum was because I was Highly Impressed with it being a Moderated Forum and a Forum that actually had Rules with Moderators who enforced those rules. Also the amount of knowledgeable people who were willing to help others with problems was also very impressive compared to other sites I had looked at over the years. I guess I liked it back then as I have not missed a Single Day since I became a Tech/Moderator and I Still Like it NOW! Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN

I started getting Copper Electronics Magazines about 14 or 15 years ago. (I think that is about right) When I decided to get back into CB, I looked up copper on the web and found they had a forum, I joined immediately!! This is a great site and I really enjoy reading all the posts!! Brian WoodStock Augusta, GA Home of the Masters |

When I got back into cb in 2003, I began searching the web and found Copper. To my surprise this is the same Copper I used to get magazines from back in the 80's with the good tech articles and the land of oz in radio, or something like that. mikefromms |

I got hooked on the Copper catalogs, because at the time, no CB shop produced catalogs to showcase their merchandise, except copper electronics. I Did a internet search for the forum, and I was hooked. Wolverine. |

Well after checking out many of the internet sites over the years and seeing all of the moaning and groaning and whinning and crying and foul language and constantly bashing others that other sites allow I joined the copper forum as it does not have or allow that type of garbage. And if you have a problem or question the copper site has more help and information and members and posts daily and monthly than any other site out there so I guess it was easy for me to choose the Copper Forum. Like they always say GO WITH THE BEST AND FORGET THE REST! So here I am folks Shirley 808xyl 1st Sargant CEF164

I wanted to get back into CB in spring 2004 when I was searching an online auction site and won a Realistic walkie talkie like I had as a kid and then found a sears cb just like the one I had as a kid too. Thats when I got the fever again and started searching the internet for cb info and found Copper, I became a member and the info on this forum helped me succeed. Been a member ever since. AP |

I was surfing the web when Copper came up with on of my searches. My Galaxy 33 died and I had a Ranger 3500 from Clear Channel Communication back in the 80. I was doing research on a good radio to use when I notice the forum and chat group.. Don CEF 336 Canadian Coffee Hound |
