Heheehe - Figures, got the email today the Maco V-5000 and KLV-1000 shipped from Copper today. Of course they also got my TR 696F SSB Base today as I sent it back to have it tuned for use with the KLV.

I think the time is getting close, maybe a week or two and I will be on the air. Can't wait...

Added 5' to the A-99 today and now have it at 27' to feedpoint which is the height of my roof. The Maco will be on a tri-pod centered on the roof with another 15' of mast so will be about 42' from ground to feedpoint when it is set up.

The new system will be grounded correctly from Antenna to Meters, all grounds are tied together and the ground buss bars are almost finished with the Polyphasers.

I will get pics of everything.

QUESTION - On the QSL Cards - What does:
UTC
RST
2-Way
Pse QSL
Tnx QSL

mean???

Not a Ham yet but plan on doing these for 11 meter anyway (really have to come up with a handle) and YES I plan on actually making contacts so I can send them out heheehe.

THE RST REPORTING SYSTEM

RST Reports: An RST report is a report from a receiving station on the quality and strength and/or tone of a CW signal of a transmitting station's radio signal at the receiving station's location (QTH).

Here is what it means:

R = Readability - Understanding what is said and how well. On a scale of 1 to 5, the readability of your signal with a "5" being perfect with no difficulty. In other words the ability of the other operator to understand what you are saying. A "1" is unreadable....a "5" is perfectly readable.

S = Strength - On a scale of 1 to 9, indicates how strong your stations signal is. A "1" is a very faint signal. A "9" is an extremely strong signal.

T = Tone - Used for morse code signal reports. Indicates on a scale of 1 to 9 the quality of the tone of the morse code "dits and dahs". From a "60 cycle harsh tone" (a 1).... To a "very pure tone", (a 9)

UTC TIME

In simple terms UTC is the world wide time that Hams use to Record / Log Contacts so everyone is always on the same time.

Click on the LINK Below and save it to your Favorites for future use.

UTC = Coordinated Universal Time
