Sorry Gator, but I did not see your post until 6:30am this morning to approve it. Guess it's kinda late for him to see it now but I bet he will be back in there tonight. And if Rosebud caught him in the chat room at 2am when he had to work today she might just plant him in her Rose Garden. Hal has a minor problem with falling asleep at the computer with his head resting on the KEYBOARD, and going to work with the strange things like, F1F2F3F4F5F6F7F8F9F10 !@#$%^&*()_+ WERTYUIOP SDFGHJK Imprinted on his forehead. Hey Lon, Where did you get that great lightning picture? It would make a great back ground for a new qsl card for me. As that is the kind of lightning storms we get here on the flat lands of Oklahoma. |

The tornado picture would even be better, kinda makes someone who lives in Tornado Alley feel right at home, and I live in the middle of the alley. |

Bigbob, The last two big tornados that went thru this area were like a super highway, wide and long. Look at your map, the last one followed almost the same path as the one before. They both started about 35-40 miles south west of me, I'm in Purcell OK. and the last big one went all the way to Tulsa, they both did millions in damages 27 miles north of me at Moore OK. Moore got hit real hard by both and was on national TV in 1999. In the last one parts of Tinker Air Force Base took a hit and the General Motors plant on I-240 received damages in the millions. |

Well,we don't have too many up here course one is too many, but we have killer blizzards every 25 or 35 years 3 days of 90 mph winds and six to seven feet of snow every where afterward,I been in one don't want to repeat it any time soon. One guy froze trying to walk a hundred feet from his car to his house, got disoriented and died ten feet from his home, another got stuck in the highway snow blower, took all day to dislodge his body, and five cars with 10 people were buried, all but 2 died, and this was in '76,man the world wide conditions and the polar ice caps are almost identical to then(shudder).I aint looking forward to this winter. |
