Yup, another radio for the SHACK. I may have an online auction problem..........nope, I am all good! Anyways, this may go to a friend, and then I would keep the 5010. Either way, I will have a great radio, and so will he. Must be nice to have a friend who finds two radios for you. Then buys both, and lets you pick which one you like more!!!! Anything for friends huh, well I have to go check PayPal......might be out of fun money by now! |

I'm considering starting a 12 step support group for folks with online auction addiction. I can't seem to help myself either Sodapop |

Santa: The 5010 is a little more to my liking. The 2510 is a great radio, but my buddy, the one I bought the radio for, likes 2510's more. It comes down to what you like I guess. Keithinatlanta: Sure, what color do you want?! |

Silver or dark green will do, make sure it has both cd and cassette player, and leather seats. Thanks. By the way, what is a 5010? anywhere to look at a picture? Keith ps: go ahead and throw in a new Wilson 1000 mag mount antenna and you pick the radio. |

Keith - that is an Emperor 5010. 10 meter ham radio, does 11 meters real easy. Sweet radio, it was to replace the 2510. But it never caught on as well, to bad. It is a great rig! Here is a pic.

Sodapop, that is a nice looking radio! One thing I have always wondered is why on some radios they have so many pins on where the mike plugs in. Any idea? Keith in Atlanta ps: don't forget the cd and tape! |

Some radios have the pins for channel buttons on the mics, or oother fuctions. Did yo want chrome wheels as well? |

Is that radio a base or a mobile? It looks like a mobile, but if it is, obviously with power supply it can be a base. Still a fine looking radio. Keith Ps: Hey Karatebutcher, when are you coming to Atlanta so we can go to Varsity? |

It is a mobile, but works great as a base also. An awsome AM radio (oh ya, it has SSB too). I had one once but traded it straight across for a Cobra 2000 w/Silver Eagle. It was a tough decision at first, but I don't regret it at all. One thing you need to be careful of is if you're running it into a low-drive amp, DON'T play with the RF Power knob. You'll see more output... for a few seconds. (personal experience) |

I've heard the same thing time and time again Freebird. Do you have the Chipswitch installed in your 2510? |

Well the 2510 showed up today, at last. And after giving it the once over, I called my friend, and made him a deal for it. And he nows owns a 2510. It was a little rough, the case, but it all worked. So this means the 5010 is staying with me, for now! |
