Most of us should agree that Japan produces some of the finest electronics products in the world. Some of you may remember that in the 70's and the first half of the 80's some of the most popular CB radios came from Japan including Cobra and Midland to name a few.
Nowdays we can look on the back of our radios only to find that they wher manufactured in Taiwan, Korea or China.
So why did Japan stop producing these ? Why was production sent to other countries?
I'll tell you why.
Godzilla.
Japan has had problems with godzilla since the 1950's and it doesn't seen to be getting any better.
Godzilla has destroyed mant cities and many electronics manufacturing plants unfortunatly fell victim to the terrible wrath of Godzilla.
Tired of rebuilding, the Japanese decided to send these facilities to other lands where they would not be out of harms way.
To this day Godzilla still poses a great problem in Japan.

That is bad, I have heard of weird people like you thinking those kind of things, it was not Godzilla at all and he always get the blame,
It was King Kong and three Red Necks from Ill that did all that, and they started Disco in the down town cities. |

Great_Lakes,
It is far more reasonable when the Manufactures buy the parts from outside sources and ship them to the factories for assembly to have them manufactured elsewhere.
It is a very competitive world out there in the electronics market and the manufacturers continually hunt and search for the best overall deal they can get on parts and assembly.

I like the Godzilla theory. I think all they really need to do is get Speed Racer and Ultraman to team up and they could defeat him. |

It was not Godzilla fault at all, it
was baby Godzillas fault as he
accidently burnt godzillas tail while
practicing his fire breathing, which
caused a giant fireball coming from
Godzilla as he screamed ouch, thus
burning down all of Japans CB manufacturing
facilities. King Kong laughed so hard that
he fell off of Japans tallest building
and crushed a speeding truckload of Cobra
CBs. And thats what really happened...

You do know there are strange things in this world or visit this world that we cannot or will not accept, New Mexico for one, various parts of our mountains ranges that since the time of the cave dellers their paintings of big foot etc,
Just 35 miles from here in a town called Weaverville there are many siteings still, and some pretty important people have come to reaserch. |

With the technology available today, you could track them down with nightvision, use infrared to spot them from the sky, or use a motion activated camera to get a photo of one by now. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's highly unlikely.
Hey, I just thought of something - what if bigfoot is responsible for crop circles? Maybe they use them to tell their alien friends where to get cattle to experiment with? |

Back in the 1980's we had a major UFO
event in our hometown, caused alot
of excitment. There was also 2 bigfoot
sightings that i know of here in PA, back
in the 80's.
Personally, i am undecided to whether or
not there is UFO's, bigfoots ect.

They can be retrained to work in a radio shack.
