Hey Soda, I never heard of that radio. Is it a new model or something older? |

No idea, I think it is an older radio. But it looks great. I won it on an auction site. But I have had no luck finding any info on it. When it gets here, I'll have to take a pic of it. Maybe that will help someone get me some info on it. |

Thanks for the better photos. That's pretty funky looking Sodapop. No RF gain eh? Bummer. While looking around for a better pic I only found one site with tuneup info, and natually it was hot to deactivate the limiter rather than adjust it. |

That has got to be one of those "lets make a (not great) radio look speacial!" type of things that came out of the early '90s I may be wrong, it may just be a suppurb radio, but that's what it looks like BC |

Racer x - there is a RF Gain button under the channel knob. And so far, I have found nothing on it. Around the knobs and buttons, it lights up green. Nice looking radio, and it works good. |

Sorry I missed that in the pictures. I almost never run full RF gain. I like to take advantage of the gain curve to lower the signal to noise ratio of the incomming signals - especially when the background noise is high. I don't think the button would suit my purposes. It is an interesting looking radio though. Funky and shiny. I like bright shiny objects. If they would only make an all aluminum radio.... |

Well I to like shinny things that blink with lots of pretty lights. It's one of those radios you own just because, who knows what will happen with it. Though some tune up info would be nice. |

what about the back of the radio, sodapop? any tags, dates, etc? how about a picture of the inside. has got to be a copy of something. it's meter/channel readout is kinda like an old icom 2m radio from about 1988 or 89. there was a blackhawk 120 radio available about 3 years ago from * & *, it's face was neither like yours or the standard connex/cobra/etc face. that was a 40 ch radio expandable to 120 by moving 2 jumpers, i believe. (deactivate the limiter! sounds like a conspiracy to me racer. i promise, though, i didn't start it!) |

Well I took a few pics of the inside. Not to sure if they will help. It looks like the board number is:P-110051B and the main chip looks like: LC7131-9F1. Not sure if any of that helps, but here is the pics. This a view from the front to the back. This is the view from the side.
