I was playing with a conductive pen today and it's obviouse it works well. I see the use for test curcuits and repairing traces. Can you solder to the final (dried) conductive "ink". In other words, If I were to repair a trace with this pen and wanted to solder at the end of the trace I just made, can I? It says on the package that you can only if it has been heat cured at 250 degrees (I think), is that neccisary? Thanks BC |

BC, I have used one of these pens in conjunction with a a prototyping system of self adheasive traces and patterns for making boards.never actually tried to solder to the ink traces but the self stick traces themselves were tricky to work with.they had a tendancy to want to lift from the board and stick to the iron even after heat setting.for setting we used a heatgun set on lo and in constant motion to keep from over heating the epoxy board. tech291 CEF#291 kc8zpj |
