Alan - The 4 pins in the jack on the radio are numbered 1-4 counter clockwise starting from the lug. The microhone plug itself should also have the pins marked. I had to look up the radio in my Sams manuals to find it's wiring: 1-Audio 2-TX 3-GND 4-RX The Turner 251 should be as follows: WHITE-AUDIO SHIELD-GND RED-RX BLACK-TX So you want to wire the mic: 1-White 2-Black 3-Shield 4-Red I'd suggest you buy this book to learn the basics including how to wire nearly any microphone to any radio: http://www.copperelectronics.com/cgi-bin/checkitout/checkitout.cgi?catalogSTORE:CKIE:prodBKS-00020+ It's a great book to own, and I still refer back to it from time to time myself. Good luck!

Thank You very much Racer X, I really do appreciate all the time you took to look this up for me, and explain in detail the assembly, Alan. |
