i believe it draws either 11 or 13 amps. friend has a different 50 amp continuous that he runs with a 1x4 amp, in the same outlet as smaller PS running radio, a 15 amp breakerhas never thrown. the 50 amp has blown it's fuses many a time with the amp at full throttle, house breaker held though. |

Patzerozero, Thanks for the info, that's what I was looking for. Lon, Thanks anyway. Maybe I should of explained myself a little better. When the power supply is put under full load on the DC side, I was looking for the amp draw on the AC side. That link you posted does not have that info. |

Gijoe, Sorry, I run my TrippLite 60 off a single 15 amp breaker and have never had any problems or tripped the breakers when running the 5054DX or 2970DX or a VR9000 with KLV500 at full power (Beermans) on it. Hope this helps, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

For those other than myself that would like to know, I sent an e-mail to Tripp-lite tech support and asked this question. "On the PR-60 DC power supply there is 48 continuous amps at 13.8 volts DC. I am trying to find out, under full load (48a @ 13.8v dc) what is the amp draw on the 120 volt input side." Here is the reply I recieved from Tripp-lite. "There is no spec for input AC current but I estimate the current to be around 8.5 amps for a 48 amp 12 VDC load. If you have any further questions, please call (773)869-1234 or reply to this email. If you reply to this email, please include all previous correspondence. webmaster@tripplite.com 02/01/2005 09:57 PM To techsupport@tripplite.com cc Subject Web - Tech Support Request"
