Is this radio really worth it? Money wise I mean.
I want a real loud AM radio....plus I want it to do great on SSB will this one do it? |

I would go for the S9, well actually I did! Im also very happy with my choice.
The Galaxy has the extra power going for it, but all in all the S9 is a better designed and built radio with more of the features I like/want.
Also read the reviews done by tech808 who said he liked the Galaxy but couldn't find a single problem what so ever with the S9!

Muddierduck, I can only guess the 95T is great because I feel my 93T is the GREATEST |

Hey muddierduck the 959 is just a regular entry level radio. Its nice and loud around 30 watts. The Galaxy 10 meter radios are the ones people rave about. I would not recommend any Galaxy for sideband!!!! Try Magnum or connex. Cost alot more but hey!!!! They are worth the money!!!! |

Sorry muddierduck . I thought you were talking about the 959 opps! Around my neck of the woods the 95T is all the craze! I talked to a guy who used one and he was really loud. I guess these radios are high wattage out of box. I think he said he was about at 175 watts. Also I never heard a Galaxy that sounded good SSB. Good Luck! |

I heard a 95T yesterday and that thing had the best audio I've heard in a while. The radio was only putting out 30 watts and man, was it loud!

all galaxies are LOUD, or can be made to be. i just was never happy with reliability or receiver... |

I have used the 95T for a while now and I love it ,very very loud audio. Blows my buddies S-3 and general lee out of the water on AM. I run with these guys all day long and They are both saving for a new 95T now. The radio is alot of money but it is worth every penny |
