Purple I'll throw in my 2 cents. I don't know about 2kw amps from KLV. As for Ameritrons, I've never known an old one to be superior to a new one. If anything, newer components are better than old used ones...like caps and such. And if you're talking about a keying relay switch, then yes you should by all means use a relay switch that actually engages the amp before the exciter (your radio) transmits. Heil makes a rather cool footswitch that actually keys the amp, then the rig. --73 |
