Cant get any FM recieve on my Magnum 257, Not even sure it transmits. Anything I can do inside of Radio ? It sounds all garbeled up. Thanks and otherwise its been GREAT ! |

Is this a new radio ? I run a htx-10 on 10 FM ( same radio ) infact i have 3 of them and a 257 never a problem. if new it should be returned for repair |

if what you describe about your 257 is "otherwise great"....I don't want to here about it when it messes up! OK?
Try checking out the RF gain, squelch and clarifier knobs I believe mine was a bit weird till I cranked everything up..

Its not the newest 257. Its a year old but has no receive, Doesnt matter I guess that much maybe a Tech can answer thanks |

t-3 pod is where one needs to adjust fm in this rig (T-3 pod). my magnum 257 did not come aligned very good from factory and receive was very distorted. should be alot of information on the internet about this common problem had the same problem with a newer verison of htx 10. also fixed this same problem for a freind. cheap way to fix is just have a freind start talking into his rig for about 30 sec and tune with golden screwdriver till best receive is gained. 73 Tim |
