Almost all the state of Oklahoma is all but shut down, 16 degrees with a strong wind. Ice and snow in the panhandle and the rest of the state has iceing conditions. 98% of the schools were closed today and Wednesday evening church services canceled. There has been mary power outages and traffic accidents because of the heavy state wide ice conditions. |

Bruce I was at Ft.Jackson Nov,78 every one was wearing parkas and it was only in the mid 40's. Ya see here in Minnesota when it hits the 40's we break out the grills and start BBQing. But what does your brother do when it's -30 B-Lo air temp with a -40 to -50 B-Lo wind chill. *burrrrrr* I know my 2950 DX it does not like it I have to let it warm up for at least 1/2 hour. Cage Arizona the way boom here in Minnesota it's amazing anyone can even talk alot of BIG radios there. I do not know how they can get along if we were to go there you would need a small radio station just to talk local. 73's Len CEF #189 So,Minnesota the tropical part. |

Leonard I would wait till I get to retirement age and hopefully I would have enough money built up to go to a warmer climate.Yes I realize that places in Arizona are overpriced. Sorry for spelling your name wrong Leonard and I should have read my last post a little better!I got in a hurry to finish blowing snow!O'yes we got a total of 9.2 inches. Take care all!Gage |

In southeast Iowa we have ice and about 6 inches of the white stuff. I tried the warm climate and hated it. I came back to the good ole four seasons and love it. I always figured those people that had to go to the warm climate in the winter are not true Northerners. Oh well, to each his own, but I will stay right were I'm at and when I die I will hopefully have a nice blanket of the white stuff over my grave. Semper Fi!!! Harve Unit199 CEF210 KB0YVK |
