K40s at 10 paces? Isn't that like a sword fight with brooms or a knife fight with spoons?

There should not be hard feelings between Ham and CB Or vice versa. Its Radio and a hobbie that all of us injoy. Also there are bad operators on both sides. I started out in CB In the mid 1960s and injoyed it, and still do. Im also a Ham , and will help with questions for anyone that needs help on getting a license.

The TECHs on the FORUM help all that has questions on radio. CB and HAM.

I also want to say we have the CEF RADIO CLUB Nets every SUNDAY , CB and HAM. Thats has been growing to the largest Radio Club World wide. ITS WORKING.

Join the COPPER Fourm and register up for our nets. Its Free. Better yet we have a 24 hour chat room also.

Hope to meet new members soon and Talk to you on the nets .

ELCO guy,

Sorry, but there was No Big Fight so you did not miss anything.

But we have had to refuse way to many post's lately from Unregistered / Anonymous Members due to language / content in the post's and people trying to start / cause trouble with the comment's / remarks they were trying to post.

And since they were not Registered Forum Member's, we were unable to contact them about why the post was refused.

Which is a BIG waste of time for them and us.

If a person is willing to take the time to post, then that person should also be willing to let people know who they are and who is making the post / comments.

Bruce as you already know I am lucky to have the bands you listed with the I-Max 2000.
But would still like a better antenna for 20, one that would do at decent job on 20,40,75/80 would be nice.

RE 808

Sorry to hear about the improper actions of those other people. I hope that I was not one of the reasons that the action was taken.

Thanks for the info.

Later

And to whoever was asking Yes I am an Amateur Radio Operator. I hold the license of Extra Class with a 13 wpm code certification.

LOL I was studying for the 20 wpm when they dropped the high speed code and at that time I was able to push myself up to about 18 before I crashed and burned (boo, hiss) ;-)

A REAL FCC LETTER ( YOU CANT MAKE THIS UP ! )

The Federal Communications Commission has received complaints that an aquarium light at your residence is causing harmful radio interference to an operator in the Amateur Radio Service.

The FCC has the responsibility to require that such problems be rectified within a reasonable time if the interference is caused by faulty consumer equipment. Under FCC rules, equipment such as the aquarium light is classified as an "incidental radiator." This term is used to describe equipment that does not intentionally generate any radio-frequency energy, but that may create such energy as an incidental part of its intended operation. We understand that you may not have realized that such a device could cause radio interference problems, because very often such devices will work fine and cause no problems.

To help you better understand your responsibilities under FCC rules, here are the most important rules relating to radio and television interference from incidental radiators:

Now did they find a linear to go with it ??

i can't even think up a response to bruces' post here-however, had i ever received a complaint letter from the fcc for something as ludicrous as that my head would probably explode before i ever got thru to the government employed idiot that typed it! of course, the extra class ham who filed the complaint was probably cursing while using a modded commander amp with his modded clipped limiter ic706 on 27.555...

Bruce - there are all kinds of applications to allow you to sync your computer's clock to NIST. NIST even has their own:
