Well guys i have FOUND my new toy !!!!
Avanti SATURN !!! never setup only took out of the box !!!
this looks like a antenna they would use on MARS !!!! LOL
but i still have no book for it !!!
It took me almost 4 hours to get this thing togeather from the way things look i need to major help finding a book for this thing so i know how to tune it !!!!
it looks to me like a maco 5\8 with out the tune ring and the botton is like a PLD II on a bad trip !!!! now how this thing is going to work like a beam ???
Could anyone help me find the book for this thing ??
I know Lon is going to say get a Imax and forget about it but im into the OLD antennas and love them !!!!

Good find, Alligator!
My friend had one of these antennas "back in the day," and they do a great job! However, I don't know where you can get a manual UNLESS Avanti has an old copy on file. Contacting them might be a good place to start. They don't market CB antennas anymore, but I believe that they are still in business.
Just type "Avanti" into the Google search engine, and you'll get their address.

Gator,the Saturn doesnt work like a beam.it is a dual polarity "omni".meaning it is switchable between vertical and horizontal mode radiating in all directions. |
