A friend of mine on the radio told me that Imax 2000's are on backorder until January. He told me the military is buying them up and using them. Does anyone know anything about this? mikefromms |

Mikefromms I was told the samething by a sales person when I was trying to find mine back in June and July. At the time Copper had them on back order, and every online store I tried was sold out. I finally found one in late July, about the same time Copper had them back in stock. But if they scares again I have to wonder. They are very broad banded, boing from 12 to 10 meters without a tuner, and I've read that they will cover as much as 15-10 meters without a tuner, and 10-40 meters with a tuner. I don't know what part of the band the military uses in the field but I've heard it was in the stock range of the antenna. I would be interested in knowing if there is any truth in that story too, since I was told the same thing a few months ago.

Ha, that's funny, Dindin, but you know they did used to use Shakespeare big stick in the army. They quit making them so maybe they did change to the Imax 2000. Hey, they still might give $2000 for one. We pay for them. Hum...this would give new meaning to Imax $2000. mikefromms |
