Ok, I can not remember what area of the forum I seen the post's in but over the last several months I have seen posts asking about the Little Lights that fit on the Top of Mobile and Whip Antennas that light up when you key the mic. WELL SURPRISE, SURPRISE! While at COPPER HEAD QUARTERS, I had the chance and time to go over EVERY SHELF and I seen this strange box so I pulled it down and WOW it had 1000 AMBER(Amber) and 1000 GREEN Lightning Bugs (Those little 1 - 1/2 inch Lights) that fit on the top of Antenna Whips. I could only find one Part # for both colors so if you order them PLEASE be sure mention the COLOR "AMBER or GREEN" that you want. *** E01-00010 GREEN NEON LIGHT F/NIGHT STICK $ 2.99 GREEN NEON LIGHT F/NIGHT STICK TUNE Fits on Tunable Night Sticks & Mobile Antennas. NOTE! I checked to see what they will fit and they will fit the Wilson Lil Will, Wilson 1000 w/ tip cut off, Wilson 2000 Trucker, K30 Mag Mount and the K40 and the SKIP SHOOTER ANTENNAS as well as any mobile whip with the smaller tip. Have FUN FOLKES and get your Orders Placed only 1000 of each color left. Lon Tech808 |

Be SURE to tell them What COLOR you want. http://www.copperelectronics.com/cgi-bin/checkitout/checkitout.cgi?catalogSTORE:CKIE:prodE01-00010+ Hope this helps. Lon Tech808 |

Old timer's trick, get your self 2 P/n-ne2g lights and put them on the tip of your stinger. Glue them on then put on some silicone to seal them wait an hour, then start talking, the more you talk the brighter thay get.(don't use red one's you might have the police stopping you.)

Hey Lon, How actually do these lights work. Do they light up when you key up the radio or stay on all the time? And if they do light up when you key the radio, will you blow them if you're running a linear? |

Gravedigger162, The Lights are Designed to be Mounted on the Top of MOBILE Antenna's or Any METAL Whip Stinger! They are ONLY 1-1/2" Inch Tall and 3/8" in Diameter and the Opening for Mounting is 1/8" See the Picture Below: Sorry, but they will NOT Fit Base Antennas such as the A99 or others or on Fiberglass or Wire Wound antennas without a METAL Stinger or Whip. Well they are a small neon bulb. The neon lights up when it is excited by rf energy. The problem is finding them. You stick them to the top of your whip of your mobile antenna and when you key up they light up. |

How about Copper who has the GREEN and the AMBER Color's. No Glue, No Tape and 100% Weather Proof and just silde them on the top and tighten the Set Screw. |

Hey Lon, Got those lights in and they're pretty nifty little lights. I run a boomer 600 through them and they light up even more. The Yellow ones are a little brighter but I'm wondering what type of bulb that is or some type of bigger LED. I wonder if you could throw a high milliwatt led on there instead and see if it will light up witout blowing. |

Vader, I snipped the top part off my wilson 1000 and the swr's went up but maybe like a 1/2 swr or so. No biggie. I'm running a boomer 600 linear and I notice the light gets brighter but not too much to blow it. I would think running those watts, you might want to be careful. |

Hello people, Reading your posts about these lights brings back a kind of funny memory from the late 70s! During CB radios moment in the sun! They sold those lights even then! Along with a lot of other gadgets! Where I live there is a big shipyard! So early in the morning you have thousands going to work on the roads! Anyway as was the case back then, there was an idiot on the air who got off cussing and threatening everyone under the son! He especially liked messing with this one guy on his way to work! Until one morning this guy was at it, and they were traveling the same 3-lane road to the yard! When the abused man saw that every time this clown keyed up, a light would go on top of the antenna on the car in the lane next to him! Sure enough it was the same idiot! I’m told the guy kicked this guys butt when they got in the parking lot! Anyway no one ever heard this foul mouth person again! |

I think it would be neat to put a light on a base antenna, would that be possible some how? Would a light work on a base the same as mobile? Any ideas on how to do it? thanks, just think it would be neat to see it light up on the base antenna at night 56 ft high. |

If you had a fiberglass antenna and the tip broke and you replaced it with a section of a 102" whip, then you'd have a steel mast. Or you could use one of those firestick masts, and I know you can I read it another post, and won't they work on those too? Either way, you could do it with the steel whip... |
