Cobra 19 dx III
Does anyone know why this radio automatically goes to channel nine after you turn the car off.
This is particularly anoying to me. If I wanted to be on channel nine I'd put it there myself.
Is there a way to go inside the radio and stop this? Thanks Wendy

if you run the power lead to a source that does not switch off with the key, you will not have this problem...but you will have to manually turn the radio off. when you turn it back on, it will be on whatever ch. you left it on.

Most of the radios that do that have a memory wire like on a car stero. If the yellow memory is hooked to a full time positive it will not return to channel 9.

Thank you all for the info. I'll try shutting the radio off before I turn the car off. I am running the radio thru a power plug that's designed to hook up accessories. Tire inflators,
lights, etc.
Thanks again Wendy
