Probably the least expensive would be the 4 tube KLV. Watch your input carrier though ;) |

Does Coppers sell them? How much input will they take before they go "EL SMOKO"? What is the power they will do on AM and SSB? |

Hands down the best amps to run behind a 2990/Saturn Turbo/Eagle 5000 is a tube type unit which carries transmit tubes although I do at times run my old D&A Phantom 500(converted to all finals...no drivers). If the radio is modified to give 150w out most sweep-tube(recieve tube) amps cannot stand the pressure. Boxes with 811a's, 3-500z's, 572b's like Yaesu, Dentron, Heath or Henry to name a few are built to accept the drive from high powered Ham rigs so are well suited to your 2990. 73's |

As far as I know copper doesn't sell these. Why didn't you leave a webb address for him to check out? If copper does sell these I'd like to see the page!!! |

The Ameritron Amps don't like more than 65 watts imnput and are rated at 50 Watts input for full legal output. The dual-final radios like the Connex 4800 and Galaxy 99 run the Ameritron amps quite nicely. |
