Hey guys, I just got finished putting up my base
antenna on my garage. It is an Antron 99 about
33 feet up in the air.I drove a 8' copper clad
grounding rod into the ground and used #4 copper
wire from the mast to the rod. I used three guide wires on the roof to help support the antenna .
Did i miss anything? thanks 619

Sounds like you have everything ready to hook the coax up and start talking.

That antenna system should give you good service for years. It will do you good locally and in DX.

Cheers,

Use a good quality coax to feed it!

Good point Highlander, Coax is a crucial part of your system. All the quality of the antenna will be lost if you have bad coax. Get some 213 U coax with amphenthol connectors. You will not regret it.

Just my 2 cent's worth.

I am not a fan of the Antron 99 but if installed properly they do work pretty good.
