COPPER FORUM MEMBER'S,

I received word this week that I should have one of the MAGNUM S-9 Radio's around the 1st week of April.

I will be doing / writing a Review on this Radio from Magnum International for Mr. Sam Lewis (Owner of RF Limited and Magnum International) and for Copper Electronic's.

I am also looking forward to doing a review on the MAGNUM M-1 Radio (BUILT LIKE A TANK) from Magnum International when it becomes avialiable.

I will keep everyone updated on the progress!

COPPER FORUM MEMBER'S,

Sam Lewis called this afternoon and shipped one of the MAGNUM S-9's out Blue Label to me so I should have it tomorrow or Tuesday to start doing the Review on it.

He said the MAGNUM M-1's Should be in around the first part of June. Once they arrive he will also send one to me for a Review also.

As of Now the Owner's Manual's for the MAGNUM S-9 Radio's have not been printed but it won't take long to get them done.

I cannot wait until it arrives and I can start checking it out.

I will keep everyone Updated.

Sitm,

We buy 99% the Item's that I review and that way I can be 100% Honest in doing the Review's.

The KLV-1000 we had owned for several month's before the Forummaster asked me to do a Review on it.

The same with most all of the review's I have done.

Several of the Item's I have done review's on I have suggested that Copper carry for the Member's and the Forummaster has been nice enough to get them for the member's.

Mr. Lewis was kind enough to allow me to keep the MAGNUM S-3 after I completed the Review.

This was after I had tested two of them for about a month.

When I write the Review's they are 100% Correct & Honest from my experience with those product's and there are no up-front deal's made for me to keep any of the Item's I review.

If we buy something and have Great or Good Performance, I will let other's know, also if we have Bad or Poor experience's with it I will also let everyone know about it.

When I do a Review on something, I Use it, Abuse it and push it beyond the normal wear and tear it might get in a year's time. If it Survive's it get's a

I donate my time here on the Copper Forum as all of the other Tech's and Moderator's do.

We are not Promised anything in return and we Do Not Expect anything in return.

We do it because we enjoy helping other's.

Well the MAGNUM S-9 Arrived Tuesday Morning as promised.

First thing out the Box I was Very Impressed with a Very Handi Feature that has Been added.

Twin/Dual Microphone Connector's on BOTH Sides of the Radio.

This is a Very Nice Feature as Now I have it hooked up and have a Mic on the Left side and a Mic on the Right Side.

Now I can use it from the Test Bench and when I am here on the Computer without having to bend the Mic Cord at a 180 degree angle and it allows the 1st Sargant to talk and Me without handing the Mic back and forth.

She has her Silver Salute Desk Mic plugged into one side and I have my Hand mic on the other side.

This will also be GREAT for TRUCKER's who have a Passenger and will allow easy access to the radio.

Also the Blue light's are very easy on the eye's and easy to see across the room.

I will use it thru this week and Monday start testing it and see just what it has and can do.

Oh, on 1st Power Up the 5 Digit Frequency Counter was DEAD ON with the center slot of the Fine and Coarse Clarifier knob's, and matching my 6 digit Frequency Counter.

I was not sure about the New Round SWR/Watt/RF Meter but after seeing it and hooking it up it is VERY EASY to read! I LIKE IT.

Well Back to work.

Barry,

NOT TO WORRY!

I have already started!

Sam Lewis want's a report/update at 100 Hour's of use and at 200 and 300 Hour's.

Right now it is Dead Keyed into a Cantanna Dummy load.

Over 96 Hour's now dead keyed and not even the slightest bit warm and power is holding steady.

We use it non stop and we have been talking on it since Tuesday. .

It has New board's and feature's and is totally & different compared to the Other Magnum Radio's.

Even going to try it on the CEF Net tomorrow barefoot and see what it does.
