Ok here goes. I have a 696F-SSB Base, driving a 300a Palomar and AA99, with a D-104 Mic. Talking to my Dad 30 miles away I give him 5 S units and swing to 6. How would you rate this? Dad has a 2990 running a 3 element Jo-Gunn.

I have a similar set up as you Kwick 73. I run a 696F-SSB into a Black Cat 76 with an A99. The first time I keyed up with the Black Cat I got out to DeKalb Illinois...82 miles away. |
