When you compare the price of gasoline to the price of the other items we buy every day. If you compare the price of the following items 20 years ago v the price today the rise in price is much greater. Good Medical Insurance/health care Cigarettes National Named Brand foods in general Cigarettes for example...I remember back in the 70s when they were .75 a pack for Marlboro in the red box. Today the cost of cheap no name cigarettes is over 3.00 per pack. And over 300 percent increase. Medical Insurance costs an average of almost 4000 bucks a year per a piece on the TV recently. The good insurance costs more. So if you compare our price of gas is pretty cheap compared to the price of the rest of the stuff we use. The reason we feel the pinch on gasoline is twofold. First, the cost of gas and other stuff we use goes up at the same rate as the income level goes up--everyone wants more income when the income goes up for the sole purpose of just keeping up with inflation. And also that we use gasoline in one way or another every day for all our daily activities (ya got to haul all that stuff around in semis fueld by deisel/gas) so when the freight guy passes on his higher gas/fuel cost to we the end consumer we feel the price rise indirectly. We see the price of gas everytime we fuel up. So we are constantly being forced to watch the price rise or should I say 'not fall' on a daily basis. But if we compare price rises with other daily commodities we use the price of gasoline is not that high. Best to all of yall Signed... that ELCO Guy

Great site! Thanks for the info. It confirmed my suspicions locally. It also saves alot of time. When gas gets over $2/gallon it does NOT pay to drive around looking for the best price. |

I am 63 now, I remember when I first started driving, gas was 22-23 cents per gal., now around here it is $2.08!!!! I used to see my father put a quarter in a cigarette machine and get a pack of cigs with pennies on the inside of the wrapper as change. Also as a young teen expiermenting with cigarettes, most of us could get a nickel or dime from our parents to buy a pack of Wings or Marvel cigarettes for a dime!!! Of course those days are gone forever, but ah the memories. |

dont sweat the small stuff guys and gals. Really....as pointed out..how much has the price of cigs gone up? I smoked 12 years ago and they were $1.50. If you drive a Hummer, you deserve to pay for what cha got. Even at $3.00/gal, we'll survive. Just stop sweating the small stuff and thank God Almighty we live in a country that we are free, can go where we want and can love who we choose in total freedom-- |

Yup, And the reason they are getting that price for gas is because people in this country are dumb enough to pay it and not protest it. We have become a country so tolerant of this garbage that we take it in stride. After all, we are so used to being shafted by our leaders that we don't even question anymore. |

Wish my income would go up like the gas prices. Then I would not complain about the gas prices. |

If you driver a much larger vehicle than you need, then you have no business complaining whatsoever. |

Kodiak, First off welcome to the Copper Forum! I seen your post here when checking post's. As it is under the gas question it may not be seen by many people. When you have a question on radio's or such that is a different Topic, scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see: Start New Thread, try and enter your question's there in a New Post and Topic as it will help us and other's to find them and offer help. NOW! For an answer to your question. Look to the left of the Forum here and Scroll down and you will see the Topic Tools Under that you will see: Frequency Chart Click on that and it will show you the Frequencies. You will see 6 channels below 27.305/CB and 5 Channles above. BUT THEY ARE ALL ON CHANNEL 30 It will depend on what frequencies your kit has and the position of switches to determine which one's you will get Depending on the type of kit you have installed it should help you.
