I have a Galaxy 95T thank you Copper for this amazing radio. I would like to ask can this radio be set up so it's highest dead key can be 75 watts. Right now it's dead keying 50 watts. I sincerely appericate all help to this question....Thank you......Holly |

it can but you don't want to do that. you will never be able to reach 100% modulation from this carrier/dead key level, and the radio will heat up very fast. |

And not only that, but no one on the receiving end will ever see the difference on their S-Meter if you are using 50 watts or 75 watts. Your RF power HAS to be a bit more than doubled just for them to see a little more than a 1/2 S-unit increase on their S-Meter. And besides, your 95-T "will not" live long at a constant power level of 75 watts. That's not what it was designed for. For it to swing to 75 or more is one thing, but for it to maintain a constant carrier of 75 watts is asking for a short lived radio. Jeff. |
