Anyone know the ohm value of the variable echo controls inside an RCI2980? I would like to run a dual control to the back of the radio somehow without having to open up the cover and adjust it every time I want to change the echo. I was thinking a 1K ohm variable but not for sure. Thanks!! |

Cm3885, I would like to keep everything on the front the way it is and just use like a dual control knob for the echo. As far as the radio goes, it's the best base I've ever owned after getting it fixed. Very happy indeed!!!

Great to hear that you like the radio!!! I knew after you had some work done on it youd like it. I like mine!! I can understand keeping the integrity of the face of the radio though.. Nothing worse than a bunch of ugly knobs and switches to make the radio look hacked!! |

There's always mixed opinions on echo. I've heard many of radio's that people don't understand how to turn it down or can't realize that you can't understand a word they're saying but I like just a touch of it and that's it. No need to over do it!! Ha!!!! |

Most people I hear using echo over do it.to sound good all you need is a little depth and almost no repeat. To give that big room sound not the continious repeat where you are talking over top of your previous words.only my opinion. |
