I am looking to purchase a new CB with weather channels (no SSB). It has been many years since I have used a CB and much has changed since I installed a Pace 25 years ago. I would appreciate the benifit of the experience you folks have before making my purchase. I have more or less narrowed it down to the following CB's and would welcome your comments: Ranger 939WX Uniden 68LTW or 78LTW Cobra 29 WX NW ST Midland 255ESP or 235ESP or 120ESP Also, I assume you recommend a tweak and peak on what I buy? Thanks For Your Help, Mike |

I strongly suggest the Cobra 29 WX NW ST. This is a great radio and is easy to peak and tune. The second on my list would be the Ranger. They are also easy to peak and tune. The Cobra 29 has been a leader for years now for a low priced CB with kick butt audio. |

Mike, I have bought three of the Uniden PC 68 LTW's, and let two of them get away. I have used other radios with weather, nothing has compared to this radio, expecially for the 7 weather bands. Had to use mine last night for rough weather in Ga. I have not tried the larger radio from Uniden, but if it is as good as the smaller one, you can't go wrong. |
