Jessie James, I have used the same brand of TVI Filters for over 25 years now. I run 1~ 4KW (25 years+ old) and 5 ~ 1KW filters. The ones I use are made by: MARINE TECHNOLOGY (MTI) The place you want to mount your TVI Filter is directly to the radio you are useing or by a short piece of coax. I use a Right Angle Connector with a Double MALE Adapter and have them hooked directly to the back of all radios I have hooked up, Then on the back of TVI FILTER I have a Lighting Arrestor Part #C70-05014 (from COPPER) See link below. http://www.copperelectronics.com/cgi-bin/product_display.cgi?search=C70-05014 My Old Lighting Arrestors used to be made from Aluminum, these New one's from COPPER are Very Well Made & Heavy Duty. Hope this helps. Lon Tech808 |

Hey 808,you run them between all transmitting equipment and the antenna, right??? Stepchild, Yes, I run them all to my MFJ 1700B switch box then to Antennas. It lets me run 6 Radios and 6 Antennas, Saves a LOT OF COAX SWITCHING & makes bench work easy. Lon Tech808

Thanks for the information guy's Boxcar I'm in the "Bayou State OF Louisiana" Bruce: Where should the meter be, I have it inline radio-amp-swr meter-filter-anttena. The meter works and does it's job; but the power goes down, according to the swr meter and the swr's go up. Am i getting a false reading from the swr meter. |

The bencher YA1 is a good one and the Drakes I use 3 in-line stops most of it and no difference in swr's. |

I like my Oak Bay, but I haven't seen them for sale in awhile. Very nice construction. As Bruce states, it's doing it's job (the LPF), but believe me it WON'T take put splatter from a modified, over-modulated rig. |
