What should be the input power for this amp Ive heard two stories. 2 watts input and 4 watts input. Before i did anything the input power was 4-5 watts when the rf power was turned all the way down. I went in and modified the Low AM to 2 watts, according to the radio meter and another meter. The dead key is now 11-20 watts on power setting 1 and 200-250 watts on setting 6. swing on power setting 6 is 400 to 500,does this sound right. |

2w in usually gives 125 out on #6. 125 out on #6 is what you're looking for so set the radio accordingly! |

my 550 has been modified to 2w input.......I normally run 4w in and sometimes 10w for short periods.........this amp just keeps on kicking!! |
