The Binghamton Amateur Radio Association will be sponsoring thier annual hamfest Saturday May 3, 2003 at the Tioga County Marvin Park Fairgrounds on route 17C,near the race track, just west of the village of Owego.Gates open at 8:00 AM for the public and 6:00 AM for vendors and tailgaters.Admission is $5 plus $2 if you plan to tailgate,indoor tables are available for $10.This is considered the kick-off for Western New York outdoor hamfest season and usally a great fest if Mother Nature is kind.I hope to see some forum members there.

I'm glad to hear you can make it to Owego,it must really suck to have to work Saturdays during hamfest season.Make sure you and Kawasaki stop by and say hi.I may break down and spend the extra money for an indoor table depending on the weather.

Another good Owego hamfest. The weather cooperated, could have been warmer. great to see Brownstone , Honkeytonkman, Doc and Chuck. As always, Brownstone had a great set-up. Picked up an excellent HR2510, all converted for $75.00 !! Looking forward to Rochester. |

It was great to see old friends and make a few new ones.The crowd and sales were lighter than I'd like to see.I heard someone had a HT stolen off thier table and someone else had a handheld scanner come up missing.What happened to the days when you could leave your tables unattended and go make a deal with someone?Despite this it was a pretty good fest. |
