has anyone used one of these things yet!

im thinking about tring one of these top section replacement whips to see if they really do improve the performance of the a99.
its helix wound top section is supost
to increase the electrical lenghth to 5/8wave from the 1/2 wave of the standard a99.

just wondering if anyone has tried it and how you think it performs.

Moderator558 Note : I HAVE THE UPGRADE ON MY ANT 99 AND I REALLY DIDNT NOTICE ANY DIFFERENCE BUT THE MOST I DID NOTICE ON THAT ANTENNA WAS THE GPK (GROUND PLANE KIT) I LIVE NEAR 3 NUCLEAR STATIONS AND I GOT ALOT OF NOISE AND THE GROUND PLANE QUIETED IT DOWN

I put one on mine and I "saw" a 25% increase in rx and tx I also have the GPK and it seems to cut down on the static
