XLAXX, My wife, who basically has less than zero interest or knowledge in radio, actually went to AES and bought me a Grundig receiver along with a MFJ 24 hour clock and an amature radio world map. This is the best gift she could have possibly given me! What a wonderful woman; spending money on radio ... Very best greetings to all! Bob |

Well no radios per-say, but I was informed by a little card under the tree that I would be getting a 2 year subscription to COPPERS! *WHOOHOO* And seeing how I may have a few left over dollars, maybe I need to get a new toy. After all, Santa would want me to! |

Well, 1st Sargant and Mr. Cluas "AKA Mr. Copper" dropped off a new KLV1000 for me. along with 5 inches of Snow so our plows could go out so I can get more toys. Oh, he also left what she wanted but it did not have anything to do with radios. BUT! I did give her a NEW COPPER Hat to make up for that. Just to keep her in the Spirit. So it was a VERY GOOD CHRISTMAS here in Central Illinois. Hope everyone got what they wanted or needed. Lon Tech808 |

One of those things where my Mom told me to get something for myself and she would buy it for me. Had to get something for the station. Got the Superstar Silver Salute and it really adds a punch to the dx2517 base I got from Copper. The wife doesen't go too much for radio stuff but tollerates it. So as usuall I find myself saying, "Thanks Mom". |

My wife bought me a radio shack pro-95 scanner. Now I can listen to the trunked freqs. Not bad considering she hates radios and often makes references to being a "radio widow". She has even given me 2m radios in the past. I guess she's a keeper. Dan |

I found a still in the box moonraker 4 for $100, so bought it to replace my homemade 5 element flatside. Had newspaper packing in it from May 1976. Said the antenna should give good swr readings on the "proposed" expanded CB band(40 channel). Had advertisement in it for the 'new' moonraker 6's they had recently come out with. |

AWESOME!!! were did you find that???? Man what a cool thing to find a NOS moonraker from the mid 1970s back when they were made good. I have a NOS Avanti astrobeam from 1974 that was in the box and i was the first one to ever open it up!!!! |
