I just ended up with a Monkey made antenna..Any ideas on tuning, and mounting this antenna..It is a single coil job, with a long with on top..I have been running a Solacon mag mount..This is on a car.Any of you guys running one of these with any luck??.Thanks for any ideas guys...Tom Shaw |

I use to run a pair of them and they are good antennas, I got my s.w.r. down to a 1.2 match. BTW which one do you have the 3 turns ,4 or what?
What type of vehicle you're running it on?

Galileo,
First off BUY the HEAVY DUTY STUD MOUNT for it.
The Monkey made's are a heavy antenna and will snap a regular mount with no problem.
Mount it like you would any other antenna, Mirror, Roof, Trunk, If you want to use a mag mount get at least a three mag mount.
Adjust stinger as you would with any other antenna for lowest SWR reading.
I have used them for years and love them.

Replace it with a 102" whip , you will get out better...hehehehe
