how many and what size(power) pills in kl 500 ,how do the two compare, gauge of power wire needed, and do you sell a stainless steel ball mount as the chrome plated zinc sucks big time, not looking for bells and whistles, just in your face power(ssb)for as little as possible(cash).

You can expect to see around 400-440 pep with the KL500. Not bad for the $$! If you are long winded like me I would suggest mounting a fan on top of the fins (learned the hard way) I picked up some 4inch 12V muffin fans off E-Bay for $2 each and just drilled some holes in the fins and used wire ties to go through the holes in the fins to holes in fan. Stays nice and COOL now.:)

I found that with the right length machine screws and a little piece of vacuum hose for each screw you can really secure those fans. Make sure that the combination will attatch securely (right size screws and tubes).

Take the little pieces of hose and stick them in the appropriate spots in the heatsink fins. Situate the fan and the little tubes so they are aligned. Stick the screws through the mounting holes into the pieces of tube and screw them in snug. Sorta like wall anchors.

Viola.
