WHAT WOULD MAKE THE TALKBACK IN A GALAXY 44 GET SO HIGH THAT IT WILL SQUEL AND THEN SO LOW YOU CAN'T HARDLY HEAR IT WHEN YOUR TALKING ON IT?? ANYONE KNOW?? |

This is normally caused by poor grounding or what is sometimes referred to as ground loops. Try adding a grounding strap from one of the case screws to your vehicle ground and keep it as short as possible. |

Poor ground, high swr, a combination of poor ground and swr, and often after a "truckstop supertune" these problems arise. |

Common problem..Remove the TOP cover...Tighten all 4 screws (one in each corner of the main board) that hold it to the chassis. This is where the decoupling capacitors are... 307 |
