the maxtrack looks like a 450 meg radio it will program on gmrs and FRS i dont know if it goes down in the 440 ham band the mostar probley is the same band if your a ham you can have them programed they may be leagal for gmrs/frs but i dont know..... check the FCC database. |

i can tell by both model #'s (D44)that these are uhf 40w transceivers. the maxtrac -should- program down to the ham band with a keyboard trick during programming. you can find this info at a site called batlabs. |
