I have a base radio with a 20 pill linear that was kinda handed down to me from a friend, he got out of the radio stuff, he also gave me a 40' extendable tower with some sort of aluminum antenna. When i keyed the radio up to talk, my dog always yelped really loudly, this happened every time i keyed. So i had my wife key the mic while i was outside watching and when she did a small bolt of lightning shot out of the antenna and hit my dogs collar, I think that's what made him yelp. That also explains all the dog lately, is this normal for a linear of this type? Just curious.. |

I seem to get better modulation when the dog is in the yard, so i kept him there, just put a muzzle on him so the yelping won't come over my radio. |

Hmm, perhaps leashing a few bull dogs to my antenna with some heavy ground strap will give my audio the bite I've been looking for. |

Dont laugh too loud!! Well i was in the Army in Germany and was sent out to the Lorainc antenna to see if it was working. I was told to carry a light bulb in my hand, when the light bulb lit up i "knew" the xmitter was on. 1,000,000 watts!!! |

You have to admit, it was creative. Hmmm, I wonder what would happen to that dog if you were running that 32 pill box that was on ebay? (lol) |

Believe it or not, some animals do react to radio frequency. I have a friend that has tropical birds and when they are in the same room when he is transmiting it drives them crazy and they begin to squak. This is no B.S. |
