I did the c.b. mod but what is the MARS/CAP frequency? don't know much about it, my 257 goes from about 25.500 to 29.695, more info please, if anyone knows |

I haven't heard Mars in the 11 meter band since back in the late 1970s. They used a freq around 27.800-27.900 from what I remember. I had a ham friend that monitored Mars for calls, guess it was a volunteer thing, with allotted time slots. I've visited with him when he was on call duty, all it amounted to was he reported in every few minutes. He had some impressive old equipment used just far the Mars thing. That was about 1977, I don't know if they still use 11 meter or not. |
