Hi i bought A Rca Co-Pilot radio with no mic i turn it on every thing works fine with the lights and channels But When i put just a misc. Mic on it sometimes sound funny and when i plug a antenna in it makes no noise. I HAve Tried Liek 4 mics on it. They all do different things I think its just i need to wire the mic to the radio. Any suggestion's I'm pretty sure it needs to be wired But i Need a Mic Wiring diagram if any one knows were i can get on I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Cobra

That's a little like saying "It's a Ford truck". Does it have 4 bolts on the rim?, 5? 8?. RCA used the name "CoPilot" on dozens of models the way RatShack used the name "Navaho" on a half-dozen or more models.

The only way anybody can look up anything useful on this radio is with a model number. NOT a serial number, the Model Number. RCA used at least three different mike plugs over the 17 or 18 years they sold CB radios. A model number at least will let someone narrow it down to that.

If it's a tube radio, you may not want to use a low-impedance dynamic mike. If it's solid-state, those will work.

If it's a 4 pin radio it's most likely similar to Midland or GE, which means take a Cobra mike, switch pins 1&2, and then 3&4. Cobra is shield/audio/tx/rx, Midland/GE/RCA are usually audio/shield/rx/tx.
