Christmas is rapidly approaching and I am hoping to get a new radio....Im looking for a good radio for am/ssb work. I am strongly considering the ss3900 as I might get my ticket soon. any other suggestions???? I would like to keep it under $150 ....Most of our money will go to finance "babys first christmas"

Heck Im afraid if I did sell her they would bring her back.....shes only 7 months and already spoiled rotten ....but I wouldnt trade her for a million bucks. To answer your question DE, I am working on my code and if I ever get that down I will take the tech test with plans to upgrade.

I agree with the bah humbug.....Always a scrooge some where. Karatebutcher....Sure thing, you send me the beautiful spoiled child and Ill send you my mother in law!!! Ill call UPS for pickup today. Absolutly NO RETURNS!!!!!!!!
I just thought the ss3900 looked kind of appealing. I plan on working 10 meters (when I get my ticket) I also love 11 meters. I like the fact that it mods easily. I will probably use it as a base more than anything because I live only a mile from work and I dont hardly go anywhere without my wife and its hard to hear the radio with a nagging wife beside you....Does that radio have a headphone jack??? |

BUCK Wait a minute, you are going to send me your mother inlaw, that would give me two of them,[ let her walk,] I will send 2 spoiled children, and so now you have a nagging wife, well here is how you work that, if she saids you are on the radio all the time and not paying any time with her, get a small picture of her and a real nice frame and put it by your radio, now let her find it, and then say how you miss her when you are away from her, it works, |

buck i had a 959 and it will not easly convert to 10 meters not a bad radio but realy IS a cb radio |

Buck, The 949 & 959 Galaxy radios are really good. They have the classic Galaxy audio sound like all the others. But Bruce is right, they are truly CB radios, and if I were looking to get my license I would be looking at other radios. If I had the money I would love to have an RCI

OK TAZ I WILL KEEP YOU OK ? Also it seems to me that the Galaxy radios look great but not one has all, like talk back on the mobils, an then all the other stuff is good, the RCI2980 looks real good |
