Why did they stop making the Eagle branded RCI and Maycom radios? Like the Spitfire, the Apache, and the Tomahawk. Especially the Eagle 2000's and 5000's? I remember a time when everyone around me on my local home channel was talking about a 2000 or a Tomahawk. Is there any hope in bringing these radios back or making a new Eagle line? I'm not sure about this, but were the Eagle line of radios specially made for Coppers? On the box for my Tomahawk it says specially made for Copper Electronics, or something like that. I would really love the see more Eagle radios made, they were all name brand boards and cases with just a different name on them... but they were much cheaper! |

We stopped importing them for various reasons, slow delivery, price increases, etc. We are thinking about importing a new 10 meter base. Our first thought is to use the VR9000 board. Do you guys have any suggestions? |

Forummaster, A new Base Radio with the VR9000 Board. I myself think that would be a great Idea. I think it would give the people out there looking for a Good Reliable Base and added option over the Galaxy & Ranger Bases. And it might give you the option of bringing it in under a more reasonable price range. Right now you have the NEW RCI 2985 with the LOW Power Version or the 2995DX with the HIGH Power. So there is a gap in between that is not being filled. Apperance is another factor People like the looks of a BIG Base Radio with Plenty of Standard Features with a reasonable price. My feeling's: THIS IS A GREAT IDEA and a GREAT Board to work with. Let me know when the first one is made so I can be the FIRST to order it! Lon tech808 |
