Anyone have any mods for this radio, and how many watts its capable of? I took peek under the cover and saw that it had 4 finals ...(I think). Any help would be appreciated.

You probley saw the audio output transistors too
As a rule 23 ch sets run under 5 watts and if its a crystal plexer ( A REAL EARLY 23 ) not a phase lock loop you have to buy a board for about 30 bucks a crystal for 20 more to give you 23 more channels so look at 50 bucks in parts to give you expanded frequencys it come down to money. There are other factors like on the old sets as to why they are not a good buy but money is the one most of us understand the best. |
