WOW! what a turnout! You guys made this a great success for sure. I am going to post the list of who I knew was on the radio under the DX Contacts section but I know there were so many I could not hear. Please post there if you could hear anyone from the forum whether contact was made or not.

707, the chat room worked fantastic for real time information. Thank you very much!
Conecuh channel 62 (my nearby neighbor). You could hear stations I could not and it really helped catching some contacts I was missing.
Karatebutcher, man you were the ears of the west coast! You were nation wide and I appreciate your help with the frequencies and scheduling.
But I especially want to say thanks to all who turned out and spent their Saturday time just trying to make contacts with other forum members. Everyone was listening for other stations bringing them in and communicating who else was out there for those of us that could not hear. Condidtions are conditions that we must play, but throughout the nation we all relayed information back and forth. This was too cool and I cannot say thank you enough for making it such a success!

I was hoping it would last a little longer... Got held up at work until 4:00 :-( I was able to make contacts in holland and africa. |

The DX-A-THON was great. I made contact with 707 and Snowman404, though it wasn't the best, however he did come back and I'll count it as a contact since he did come back with my state and the first number in my call. I heard Hobo and a few others who I couldn't quite make out other than hearing from the Copper Forum in their call.
The signal to noise ratio was low due the to traffic on the highway near me. To those in the chat room at 3:38 EDT, sorry for abruptly leaving. My java applet crashed and I had to leave for work so I didn't reboot the computer and get back in.
I went by the call of 729Insider around Connecticut. I'll definately try this again in the future--schedule permitting. |
