SOUND FAMILIAR? How many forum members does it take to change a light bulb? Answer: 1,331 1 -- to change the light bulb and to post to the forum that the light bulb has been changed. 14 -- to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have beenchanged differently. 7 -- to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs. 27 -- to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs. 53 -- to flame the spell checkers. 156 -- to write to the forum administrator complaining about the light bulb discussion and its inappropriateness to this forum. 41 -- to correct spelling in the spelling/grammar flames. 109 -- to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this exchange to alt.lite.bulb. 203 -- to demand that cross posting to alt.grammar, alt.spelling and alt.punctuation about changing light bulbs be stopped. 111 -- to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts **are** relevant to this forum. 306 -- to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique, and what brands are faulty. 27 -- to post URLs where one can see examples of different light bulbs. 14 -- to post that the URLs were posted incorrectly, and to post corrected URLs. 3 -- to post about links they found from the URLs that are relevant to this forum which makes light bulbs relevant to this forum. 33 -- to concatenate all posts to date, then quote them including all headers and footers, and then add "Me Too." 12 -- to post to the forum that they are unsubscribing because they cannot handle the light bulb controversey. 19 -- to quote the "Me Too's" to say, "Me Three." 4 -- to suggest that posters request the light bulb FAQ. 1 -- to propose new alt.change.lite.bulb newsgroup. 47 -- to say this is just what alt.physic.cold_fusion was meant for, leave it here. 143 -- votes for alt.lite.bulb. HAVE FUN 73 |

HoosierCardinal, yep man it was for real. Someone on here pointed it out on e-bay. The guy auctioned your standard 102" stainless whip and got $46! Gosh, can you imagine that!?! But the sad part is it's a true story. Wonder what he paid for a used radio on e-bay. And oh yeah, the buyer had to pay the shipping fees in addition to the $46. Hmmmm, I've got a little Uniden Pro510XL sitting around....with the right sales pitch, heck I may get enough money for it on e-bay to buy two new ones! Crazy huh? Alsworld |

Oh heck Bruce, you could make millions! Think about it, as you decide you need some newer equipment, just sell your old radios on e-bay. All you need is the sales pitch. Hmmm try this one: "Alinco Dx70, "THE CLASSIC". The ULTIMATE 10 meter radio. Never modified but professionally tuned and verified in PERFECT working condition by WA4GHC HIMSELF!! Now you know what that means! It's a guarantee. Starting bids will begin at $1050 and that is the reserve price but it's worth TWICE that! For an additional $35 I can throw in the owners manual which was personally provided by WA4GCH, "THE Legend". For $85 more, I can supply a WA4GCH custom built dipole antenna that has been advertised as 20dbi gain by websites on the internet. This RARE, all-weather custom dipole can be mounted in the attic, indoors, even outdoors in the rain! And the best part, it can be mounted either horizontally, vertically, or shaped like an "L" and mounted both ways! Wow! now that's a versatile antenna! Now all these items can be bought seperately at their reserve prices for $1170, but if you are intersted in the total package only, the reserve price will start at $1150. Don't pass up this incredible deal. You won't find another one like it. Buyer must pay for all shipping cost including insurance for $2,500 minimum as this package is worth that and more. Don't pass up this deal!!! Now see Bruce, if you choose your words selectivly, and occasionaly throw out a "made by the Legend himself, WA4GHC" all weather RARE custom dipoles, next thing you know you'll be getting hundres of dollars for your dipoles. Custom VIP gold plated dipoles, commemorative dipoles, oh the list is endless. Whips, oh you bet! Just order a pallet load. And we'll just get a 500ft spool of good wire and I'll cut to the length you request as I drink that keg of Beer. he he Million$ I tell ya, Million$. Amazon dot who? You can rule e-bay. But wait....hmmmm e-bay AND amazon dot......mo money mo money mo money LOL! Alsworld |
