ok fellas.....my old Antron 99 flaked off in my hands yesterday...and after cussing it out and snapping the thing in half (what a temper huh?)...i've decided to replace it. So the question is my friends, which to go with? I've looked here online and notice Maco's 5/8 wave is about the same as the IMAX 2000. So, for those who have had both, which do you prefer? And I'll take all answers, but prefer the guys who've had both side by side. I'm an old schooler, have used Maco before, but I'm thinking the IMAX may be the way to go for throw it up in the air and it's done. Thanks fellas- Kirk AB8BC |

well ive had both . the maco is a great antenna but i personally had better luck with the i-max. i guess its like splitting hairs haha. i will say this the maco is harder to assemble and harder to get a GOOD s.w.r.my i-max out of the box has a flat 1. across the entire 40 channels or 11 meters.and only goes up to a 1.5 on the 10 meter bands. my choice I-MAX 2000 |
