Hey I gotta question about talkback.I heard a while back that talkback is bad on the audio IC's in radios.Is this true?And how can I prevent messin up my audio IC if I have a radio with talkback?Thanks

That's a quick one,

Complete Hogwash. Nuthin' but. Audio is audio, as far as this chip is concerned. It CAN'T tell the difference between receiver audio and transmit audio. On the smaller AM-only 40-channel radios, this chip is used for the transmit audio as well, and works 5 times harder doing that than it does running your speaker. I wish I could say there was even a SMALL grain of truth behind this one. Lots of technical rumors start that way. Not this one. It's just plain old-fashioned HOGWASH.
