hello i am kinda at a dillemma, i do not care for most of the new fiberglass antennaes and have a ton of aluminum and would like to rebuild an old one. the antenna i had in mind was a super penetrator. but for the life of my i do not know who made the super penetrator one person tells me antenna specialists, another tells me avanti, another tells me hy gain and someone has even told me mosely. it is hard to get scematics tgo reproduce an antenna when you cannot figure out who made it. i have heard 2 of them talk and they are outstanding if anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. thank you sam 123up michigan |

Hey 123, I don't think you will have much luck figuring out all the little measurements from the doc's. I believe Hy-gain developed this one and maybe some others may have produced it later in time. If you had an old CLR with the square four radial hub design (not the three radial job) or one of that breed, you might be able jury-rig one. I think the parts at the base are very similar, except for the entire feed system. The feed system is what makes this thing work. You will have to make it longer also. You could get lucky or you might just find yourself chasing your tail. If you have a ton of aluminum tubing, check around, maybe you could sell half of it and buy you one from Jay in the Mojave at: cut and paste this to your browser: www.a1antennas.com You can just about take that one out of the box and throw it all as high as you can and it will come down, fully assemble and tuned right on the money. Ha! Ha! You could be talking in the time it would take you to sort out what you needed from all the tubing you have. I have a many-times duplicated copy of the docs for the Penetrator Model 500 modified for the 40 channel 11 meter band. I have tried to copy it before, but had no success, cannot read all the details. Maybe someone else has a better copy. Good luck. Marconi |

Hey Taz, if you don't need the Penetrator why don't you make a deal with 123? You both might come out smelling like a rose. Marconi |

Taz may be right about Spain or Italy, but from what I have seen and heard, they use really poor materials with virtually no documentation. Marconi |
