I noticed all the AM equipment!

So the modulation is important on 20, 40, and 80 meters too.

You know if most of us came home with that load of stuff we would have some REAL explaining to do.
707 in 1967 i made as a electronic tech 1.25 per hour it jumped to $2 just before i went into the Army ( $96 per month) but in 1968 a new ford was 2000 bucks and you could get a coke fries and a buger for $1
Now if we could just bring back thoes prices!

Well taz its like this we had it good unemployment was low we did not have the wellfair problems since mom and dads rased the kids the jails had way less inmates I graduated from tech / high school with a electronics deploma in 1967 we were at war..... 400,000 wonded 55,000 dead is a war! The moon race was on civil rights was a rallying cry LBJ had just started to use SSA money to fund his social programs ..... were paying dearly for this now and people were too bussy except in the inner cities to worry about anything else. The country PRODUCED products not inported them and here in Seminole you could buy a nice 3 bedroom house for about 28000 dollars! When we ran up the tab and this country started running in the red things went wrong Wouldn't it be nice if we could go back and fix out mistakes? Where's that time machine?

Bruce, Boy back in 68 you bought the expensive stuff, In CA we only got three Taco Bell (Taco Burgers and a coke for $1.00 and it took three of us to come up with the $1.00 after liberty. (and I got the coke)

Then in the nam we got c-rations for FREE!
sure missed the burgers.

Just an OLD JARHEAD!

Like most 19 year olds at that time I was drafted in the Army. They dont give you much choice and i served from 1968-1970 but was stationed he a training support company Commo repair depo at Ft. Knox Ky. The reason i did not go to vietnam is i was a mine detector repairman by mos althought i worked on just about everything and the MOS i had was locked up in nam no open spots so i sat at Knox. I Did spend some time At camp Drum NY in the WINTER on 69 talk about COLD BURRR. Out on 18 from my home town that went in that day in July of 1968 16 went to nam 1 germany and i wound up guarding the gold at knox. TRUE story on July 20 1969 i was pulling guard at the valt and didn't get back to post untill armstrong was allready on the moon.... so I can REALY tell you what i was doing then.... guarding the GOLD!. Yep all of us who grew up in thoes days had at least a idea what out dads went through a generation before Mine Dad was wounded in the south seas by father in law in the europian campain. MY hats off to all who went to Nam 33 years later my friends who were there still have vivid memories.
