If you recieved this amount of money from an old flame, or xwife,or your motherinlaw , would you hand it over to your wife, or buy your self some mew radio equipment, and what kind, live it up it's a dream. What would you do Taz |

I don't know what Taz would do, but instead of buying a big 200+ watt all-banded Kenwood or Yaesu and a big linear, I'd buy all different types of 10 Meter and type class 11 meter CBs just to experiment with all the different aspects of electronics! Adding echo, tuning them, learning about how the PLLs funtion under different circumstances. I know most of this now, but I'd love to own a showroom of them, just to play with, thats where I have the most fun! Just tinkering, see what I can do and document it all! Then whatever is left of the money, I'd buy a heck of a linear to put behind my galaxy 99 and my Kenwood TS-680! Just my 2 cents! |

I'd buy radio equipment. I'd get a CB base station just for the heck of it. Then I'd go for one of those huge Icom or Yaesu all band/all mode radios. Then some top of the line coax and create an antenna farm. Maybe some super microphones, good meters, etc. I'd plan it out then spend it up. Taz I bet would buy a car, then see if Tech 307 would tune and peak it for $30! lol |

Easy, I would do 1 of 3 things in order of possibillity 1. Put it towards my education. 2. Bank it. 3. Bank it and buy the old radiostation up the road and put 2 laser 500s at 250 feet. Use the 50kw anp that is still sitting there. Wouldnt need new coax cause its already there. Laser 500 (2) $1200.62 Crane 300+ per hour. I would probly end up just enough left to buy a cheeseburger. |

I have spent about 3000 in the last 2 years replacing all my old radios. Most of the stuff was well beyond its life span and i gave it to needy hams to get them going on the air. $6000 well if i 3000 left i would buy one more radio i have 2 dx-70 but it would be nice to have a 160 meter-440 radio to toss over my sholder battery powered and take it where ever i please! |

BTW, Taz...they only want $6000 for the old radio station with a 50KW transmitter? It must be an FM station. Wouldn't work on CB, but would make One Heck Of A 2m amp! |
